Known as the Mother City of South Africa, Cape Town offers the visitor a variety of attractions. This tour includes visits to Table Mountain (weather permitting), Signal Hill, Bo-Kaap or Malay area, Heerengracht, Company Gardens and Castle of Good Hope. (Excludes Cableway Fare – Approx. ZAR120).


HALF DAY – “WALK TO FREEDOM” CULTURAL ZAR290 per person

This tour takes a look at the changes since the fall of “apartheid” in the early 1990’s. The tour visits the Bo-Kaap or “Malay Quarter”, District Six Museum (closed on Sundays) and then continues to the Townships and Cape Flats for a guided walk through a vibrant community with ample opportunity to interact with the community.

After lunch we make our way back via the beautiful False Bay coastline passing through Gordon's Bay before returning to Cape Town late afternoon.

(Duration: 12 hours - Departs: 06:00 Daily. Includes: Lunch and Game Drive)
Depart at sunrise travel via Paarl and Worcester through the spectacular Du Toits Kloof Pass and Hex River Valley where you will experience the beauty of this paradise at the best time of the day. Arrive at Aquila 2 hours later where you receive welcome drink & snack. After this we embark on a game drive in this Karoo Game Reserve where game such as Lion, Buffalo, Crocodile, Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra and various other antelope can be seen amongst around 172 species of birds - one of which the Black Eagle (Aquila). We return to the lodge for lunch and the afternoon is at leisure to take an easy walk or just relax next to the pool and listen to talks by enthusiastic game rangers about their experiences. We depart the Lodge at 15:00 and are back in Cape Town around 17:00.

Day 2, Monday

Depart after breakfast to Okahandja where we visit an open craft market. Continue to Ombo Ostrich and Crocodile farm for guided tour including Herero and Himba culture and lifestyle. Visit the Herero Hero graves in Okahandja. Continue north to Otjiwarongo. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Otjibamba Lodge - Otjiwarongo.

Day 3, Tuesday

Meals: BD

After breakfast continue north via Otavi and Grootfontein. Visit to the Hoba Meteorite (largest in the world). Continue to Tsumeb where we visit the Tsumeb Museum. Continue to Etosha National Park via Otjikoto Lake. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Mushara/Mokuti Lodge - Outside Etosha.

Day 4, Wednesday

Early morning game drive through Etosha National Park. Breakfast en-route. Visit the Namutoni Fort. Return to lodge in the afternoon. (Optional night drive available). Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Mushara/Mokuti Lodge - Outside Etosha.

Day 5, Thursday

Depart after breakfast for another day in the world famous Etosha National Park in search of the wildlife and wonders nature offers. Exit the park late afternoon and continue to Outjo.
Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Namatubis Guest Farm - Outjo.

Day 6, Friday

After breakfast we continue to Damaraland via Khorixas. We visit the Petrified Forest en-route. The bushmen art and rock formations at Twyfelfontein and Burnt Mountain are highlights. Arrive at our lodge mid afternoon. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Twyfelfontein Lodge - Twyfelfontein.

Day 7, Saturday

Today we continue towards the coast via the Namib Desert to Henties Bay. We visit the seal colony at Cape Cross before we make our way south to Swakopmund known for it's German influence in lifestyle and architecture. Overnight and Breakfast at Swakopmund Hotel - Swakopmund.

Day 8, Sunday

Meals B

After breakfast we visit the world renowned Welwitschia Plant and return to Swakopmund via the spectacular "Valley of the Moon". Afternoon at leisure. Overnight and Breakfast at Swakopmund Hotel - Swakopmund.

Day 9, Monday

After breakfast we depart to Walvis Bay and continue to the Namib Naukluft Park through the desert. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Namib Naukluft Lodge - Namib Desert.

Day 10, Tuesday

Early morning we depart and make our way to Sossusvlei. Watch the sunrise over some of the highest dunes in the world. Breakfast is served at Sossusvlei. After breakfast return to the lodge. Remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast at Namib Naukluft Lodge - Namib Desert.

Day 11, Wednesday

After breakfast we depart, continue north and return to Swakopmund for check-in to the Desert Express. The journey takes us east where we stop at Khan Valley for an excursion. Overnight on board whilst stationary. Dinner, Overnight and Breakfast on board Desert Express - Swakopmund to Windhoek.

Day 12, Thursday

After breakfast we disembark the train for a game drive at Okapuka Game Ranch. Return to the train for the last hour journey and arrive in Windhoek mid morning where the tour ends. (Transfer to hotel or airport included).
